I got lucky twice.
The first time was growing up on the shores of one of the clearest lakes in the country. For over 20 years, Newfound Lake was my backyard—we hiked it, biked it, paddled it, skied it, swam every inch of it and like most kids, I had no idea how rare that was.
The second time was coming back.
And when I made my way home, I found the lake exactly as I had left it. Still clear. Still full of adventure. So I did the only thing that made sense: create a place where I could share this playground with those who love the outdoors like I do.
That’s what Newfound Lake Outing Club is. Not a resort, not a rental—a way for people like me to keep doing what we’ve always done. Hike hard, paddle farther, ski until the lifts close and argue at dinner about what to do tomorrow.
